Adam Sandler broke his ankle during a game of basketball.
The ‘Happy Gilmour’ star was playing the sport over the weekend when he suffered the injury.
Despite being forced off the court, his team managed to win the game and Sandler’s ankle is now in plaster.
He is currently filming new Disney movie ‘Bedtime Stories’ - in which he plays a hotel handyman whose magical bedtime stories come true - and his representative insists his injury will not affect production.
Sandler is not the first celebrity to recently injure himself.
Last December, Emma Bunton sprained her ankle during the Spice Girls’ reunion tour.
The singer fell during one of the group’s US concerts and had to perform at the UK concerts with a heavily strapped ankle.Last September, George Clooney was rushed to hospital after being knocked off his motorbike.
The ‘Syriana’ actor suffered a fractured rib and burns, while his passenger, girlfriend Sarah Larson, broke her foot after the pair were hit by a car in Weehawken, New Jersey.
